This project was an absolute pleasure to complete.
We designed and created a stunning bay window treatment, complete with co-ordinating scatter cushions that had contrast piping detail and plaited tiebacks for the curtaining to match.
With the original inspiration being ‘Hares’, yes that’s right… large rabbits…. My clients adore the outdoors, their beautiful garden, painting of wildlife and nature themes in general. However, to give a timeless, unrestricting theme to the main feature within the bedroom, we settled on an impressive all over thistle design, with calming multi tonal colour palettes to complement their existing furniture within the room.
The curtaining was made by our expert seamstress using hand sewn twin pinch pleat heading to allow a neater stack of the curtaining, therefore allowing more natural light into the room.
We liaised with the customer throughout the project, to project manage alongside, decorators, carpet fitters, and of course our Alisha Faith specialist fitting team.
The bay window treatment had its own challenges. These were met; with consideration to the customers requirements. Their original bay window tracking was unstable, and fitted directly into the window frame, which unfortunately allowed condensation to build and damage the lining of the curtains. This was rectified by using a Silent Gliss bay window curtain track system, fitting directly into the ceiling above, brought slightly forward into the room, to allow air ventilation.
As the window frame was damaged, we also repaired this to disguise the previous holes from the original curtain track.
The new curtain track was bent specifically for this bay window, complete with roller gliders to assist with smooth movement around the bay, and corded both left and right hand sides to evenly distribute the curtaining weight and allow each curtain to be closed separately if the sun was shining in; for example whilst reading during the daytime.
Our images of my clients finished bedroom, show the beautiful outcome of the detail and achieved challenges combined! I look forward to the next project with the friends I have made; previously being my clients!
